Katy is certified in aromatherapy and she is an Advanced Reiki practitioner. She has provided educational opportunities in the holistic therapies for over two decades. Born in upstate New York, she learned at an early age the value of gardening for health and healing from her father, an avid organic gardener and tree conservationist.
Katy graduated from Nazareth College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Gerontology. She has worked in the social work field for 25 years and always finds joy and enrichment through working with people. Katy enjoys her gardens and is inspired to share the healing benefits with others.
Katy and her husband Tom own a shoppe in Urbanna, Virginia known as "katybugs" which is home to the katybugs healingsense aromatherapy line. Arlene has practiced and taught ashtanga vinyasa yoga for the last eight years. She was inspired to begin her avid practice after she realized during her first yoga class that her back pain from scoliosis had completely disappeared.
A certified yoga teacher based in Richmond, Arlene's method builds strength, creates heat, cultivates the breath and calms the mind. All levels of practitioners, from the beginner to the advanced, can find pleasure and challenge under Arlene's creative guidance.
Jen Berlingo – Turning Point, Richmond, VA

Since an early age, Jen has been immersed in the creative processes of visual art and writing, and she has been dedicated to self-discovery and authentic communication throughout her life. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech, with a minor in Gender Studies. After spending over six years in the corporate world, she decided to follow her heart's calling to pursue a vocation in the healing arts. She moved to Boulder, Colorado, where she attended an intensive and experiential three year graduate program. She received her Master's Degree from Naropa University in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Art Therapy.
While in Colorado, Jen continued to develop her long-standing interest in energetic healing practices and the chakra system. Studying under the Usui tradition and lineage, she became a Master-level Reiki practitioner. She wrote her master's paper on the integration of energy work with art psychotherapy, and she continues to research such themes today. In Richmond, Jen sees clients at Turning Point Counseling, as she is working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia and a Nationally Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC).
Jen provides psychotherapy, art therapy, Reiki & energetic counseling to adult clients at her office in the fan area of Richmond, Virginia. She is also available for workshops or groups upon request. Please contact her for details.
Jen will begin an extended (baby) leave in September 2006; therefore, she is no longer taking new clients. She plans to offer services again in Spring/Summer 2007.
